Rebranding OEMR to Dell

So, remember that I mentioned that there was no hint of “Dell” or “Poweredge” during the boot up at all.

The boot up screen only showed this:

The iDRAC screen showed this boring gray page:

Dell is the “D” in iDRAC, and the literal word “Dell” was removed from the title of the page.

Well, I found a way to rebrand it back to Dell. Check out the following references:

I didn’t get a screenshot but saw something like this after around step 11 above (during server booting up). Image copied from the tkrn’s blog.

Afterwards, it is branded as Dell PowerEdge R740! Yay!

Boot up screen now shows Dell.

IDRAC screen is now blue, instead of the boring gray! “Dell” is now seen in the page.
